Sheep were born to graze on grass resulting in a more natural life for the sheep, a farm with pasture that is naturally fertilized as the sheep wander around and a much healthier meat product for us.

Just one of the health considerations are the essential omega fatty acids. Australian lamb is shown to rank among the top omega-3 foods in the daily diet. Grass fed lamb averages at least 25% more omega-3s than grain-fed lamb. Omega-3 and omega-6 are essential fatty acids that the body cannot manufacture therefore we must obtain them from our food. They must be maintained in a balance and the recommended ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 is 1:3, however the current Australian diet is more likely 1:10 due to use of processed vegetable oils and consumption of grain-fed stock. This omega imbalance poses health problems and contributes to diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, asthma, allergies and cancer.
